These are fantastic for burning fat because they are a plyometric exercise that uses your muscles to propel you through the air. Namely, your quads and your butt muscles, the gluteus maximus. Yep, that means you will give yourself a butt lift by doing this three times a week.
Remember to do at least 10 on each leg before switching to the next leg without resting. If you can do all three sets of each leg without resting at all ’til the end, then BETTER YET! Like they say in Catholic school, “You can rest when you’re dead!” (or when you feel like you’re gonna die. be safe)
Try to jump pretty high and not just go through the motions. Land on the ball of your foot and rock back down to the heel. This works your calves as well because you’re not jumping from a flat-footed stance—you’re basically doing a dynamic calf raise with the help of your upper leg muscles.
